I like this self portrait because of its setting, my office. It gets the general idea of what my office is like, old brick, funky exposed rafters, kind of messy. (actually, at the present time, it is REALLY messy) It is a very comfortable space, and I am very comfortable in it. I think this drawing portrays that. Heaven knows, I spend enough time in this space. I had better be comfortable there!!!
Yes, your office looks like that now. But over time your office has had many many incarnations. I am pretty sure your desk has been in every corner of that office space at one time or another, let alone the other offices. My favorite was the office that had a secret compartment where kayaks came out of the ceiling.
